Red Vehicle: 1973 Ford Maverick Coupe
Engine: 260 Cubic Inch In-Line 6 cylinder with a C4 Automatic Transmission
Owner: Tom Colvin, Mercer, PA
Tom has owned this car for one year. The Maverick has been restored, but not by Tom. It has the stock-original drive line, motor and transmission. Options include an AM radio and a red/white vinyl top.
White Vehicle: 1951 Chevrolet 3100 Series (half ton) Pick-Up Truck
Engine: 250 Cubic Inch In-Line 6 cylinder (1975 integrated) with a Turbo 350 Transmission
Owner: John Oakes, Mercer, PA
Although John is not the original owner, he has had the truck for thirteen years. The restoration was done by John’s Pro Street in Leesburg, PA. This is a semi custom restoration which includes: Stock cab (with modifications), stock suspension (lowered and modified), after-market air conditioning and heat, Dakota Digital Dash, and an AM/FM cassette with 10 disc CD changer. The paint is White Diamond Pearl with raspberry accents and trim. Other options are remote door poppers, dual battery drop boxes, power windows, and custom upholstery. The motor and driveline were done locally by Gabany’s.
From 2005 through 2008, the truck has won numerous “Best of Show”, “Best Interior” and “Best Paint” awards. Other honors include a First Place Award at the World of Wheels event in Pittsburgh (2008) and the Classic Truck Magazine “Smooth & in the Groove” award (2008). It also won “Best of Show” at the Commodore Perry Lions Club Cruise-In in 2007, and has been featured in the Warren Tribune Chronicle, Tri-County News, and Record Argus.
Blue Vehicle: 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible
Engine: 289 Cubic Inch V-8 with a C4 Automatic Transmission
Owner: Christine Oakes, Mercer, PA
Chris has owned the Mustang for 28 years, but is not the original owner. Restoration and paint was done by Mike O’Conners, and was done to stock specifications using original and after-market parts. The color scheme is Caspian Blue paint, blue metallic interior with a white convertible top. The Mustang has won “Best of Show”, “Best Paint” and “Best Interior” as various shows throughout the years. Chris was invited to Branson, Missouri to escort stars from the Whitehouse Theater in a night time “Lighted Parade”. While in Branson, the Mustang won an award at the Shepherd of the Hills Car Show.
