Rachel Ranson

Rachel Ranson is a senior music education major at Slippery Rock University majoring on the bass clarinet. She has been involved in many activities including the SRU premier wind ensemble, concert band, marching band, various choirs and began the SRU Clarinet Choir. She plays in the Mercer Community Band, Harrisville Community Band and the Musicians Concert Band of Slippery Rock. She has been named principal bass clarinetist to the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band twice. She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Music Educators Association as well as Mu Phi Epsilon, a music honorary. She has worked with many marching bands and currently serves as the assistant band director to the 2005 Class A PIMBA Champion Beaver Area High School Marching Band. She will pursue a career as a music educator.
